Kenya's startup scene is truly thriving! Fintech, Saas, and EdTech, just to name a few, are booming, with a general trend towards innovative solutions tackling our local challenges. Of course, there are hurdles. Accessing funding and finding skilled talent are just a few.
This is where Impact Africa Network plays a crucial role. At Impact Africa, we identify high-potential innovative startup ideas and we build them through our innovation fellowship program and mentorship opportunities. Impact Africa's success stories are numerous. Several startup spinouts have achieved remarkable growth and are changing the African narrative. Beyond individual companies, Impact Africa fosters collaboration within the ecosystem. Our networking events and communities connect startups, investors, and mentors, creating a powerful space for knowledge sharing and mutual support.
On top of launching startups, Impact Africa Network has a remarkable track record of nurturing young talent and fostering a vibrant innovation ecosystem. Since 2019, we've ushered in 9 cohorts of innovation fellows, a total of 110 individuals who have embarked on this journey with us. Their dedication has translated into real-world impact. Our fellows have played a key role in creating over 200 jobs since 2019, and their innovative ideas have fueled the creation of 4 funded spin-out companies that are now disrupting their respective markets. Our supportive network doesn't stop there – we boast a community of over 30 investors who are actively engaged in backing these future leaders.
